The Back Story

Oct 12, 2020

Sinusitis can cause inflammation in your nose, sinuses and throat. The swelling can often interfere with your ability to exercise and has an impact on your fitness.  We sit down with our very own otolaryngologist (Ear Nose Throat surgeon), Dr. Aaron Pearlman, Associate Professor of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Pearlman is also an attending rhinologist at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and a consultant at the Hospital for Special Surgery.  He discusses signs and symptoms of acute and chronic sinusitis and strategies on how to maintain a healthy nasal passage. Optimizing your breathing can lead to improved exercise capacity which can improve your quality of life and wellness.
